Applications were being accepted in early January and the tributes were chosen with a randomizer. The tributes win by outwriting their opponents while also factoring in creativity and realism.

The Tumblr Games are an interactive way to play the Hunger Games online. The basics of the way it works is a Gamemaker (me) gives out situations and options for the tributes, who were reaped randomly out of the many that applied. Based on their response, they’re given either more options or possibly a fight with another tribute. Then they write out their fights and defenses as narratives and they are weighed and scored by the Gamemaker for creativity and other factors, and they select a winner. This goes on for several situations until only one emerges as the victor. I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy the Quell.
